Pelican

Any business that brings this much awareness to something so vitally important to the survival of our plant is 100% worth supporting. Pelican is a 63 foot catamaran. She is based on the tried and tested wharram and was custom built over a 5 year period and launched in 2003. The sole purpose for Pelican was to build cultural and environmental awareness and to expose those who are interested, to the amazing world of sea country. In that time, Pelican has travelled over 80,000 nautical miles and carried exposed thousands of passengers to the wonders of both our ocean and the land.

The vessel is fully equiped for extended cruising and can sleep up to 20 persons. Pelican was hand built over 5 years and originally launched in 2003 and went through an extensive refit in 2021 to ensure that she continues her work well into the future.

When people connect to the land through camping, bushwalking and the like, it changes the pace in which we move. When we connect to sea country, the same thing happens and as we immerse ourselves in the expansiveness of the ocean, we build an appreciation for nature that is hard to ignore.

We also believe in the mission that Pelican has undertaken in building awareness of the ocean and the importance it plays in the whole ecological story of our plant.
